Agesinkole 2 Storms Badagry This New Year as Epic Yoruba Thriller Hits Lagos State Theatre

Movie lovers in Badagry are in for a thrilling start to the new year as Agesinkole: Kings of Thieves Part 2 makes its way to the Lagos State Theatre, Badagry.

The much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Yoruba epic will be screened on January 1 and 2, 2026, offering residents the chance to experience the action, drama and suspense without leaving town. Daily showings are scheduled from 1pm to 4pm, with tickets selling for N4,000 at the venue.

Agesinkole 2 continues the gripping story of power, betrayal and tradition as the feared king of thieves faces fresh enemies and intense battles that threaten his reign. Since its community cinema release during the festive season, the film has drawn massive attention and strong turnouts across different locations.

Organisers say bringing the movie to Badagry is part of efforts to make quality cinema accessible to the people, especially during the holiday period when families are looking for wholesome entertainment.

With its location on PWD Topo-Ascon Road, the Lagos State Theatre is expected to be filled with movie lovers, families and fans of Yoruba epic films eager to witness the next chapter of the gripping saga.

Residents are advised to arrive early, as seats are expected to fill up quickly for what promises to be one of the biggest movie attractions of the New Year in Badagry.
