On his way back from an official engagement, the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, made an unexpected stop at the Nigerian French Language Village along the Badagry Expressway, where the walls were being given a fresh burst of colour under the “Let’s Paint Badagry” initiative.
Captivated by the vibrant strokes transforming the once-plain fencing into an artistic display, Hon. Hunpe took time to celebrate the young visionaries behind the project.
An environmentalist at heart and a lover of creativity, the council boss described the initiative as not just beautification, but a bold step in redefining the image of Badagry.
“This effort mirrors our administration’s commitment to reshaping the physical landscape of Badagry into a city of pride — a place where residents can truly feel at home and visitors will always want to return,” he said.
Hon. Hunpe commended the initiators and sponsors of the project for planting “colours of hope” across the community and pledged the council’s full support to ensure the vision continues to blossom.
