The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports suggesting that all current members of the National Assembly have been granted automatic tickets to contest in the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the reports as “fake news” and urged party members and the public to ignore the claims.
“The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great Party,” Morka said.
He added that the false story, which had been widely circulated under the guise of a breaking news alert, was deliberately crafted to mislead the public and sow confusion within the party.
According to Morka, the claim is of “mischievous origin” and aimed at disrupting the APC’s internal democratic processes as the party prepares for its next round of primaries.

He reassured stakeholders that all official announcements regarding the party’s nomination procedures and candidate selection would be made through credible and authorized platforms.
This clarification comes at a time of heightened political activity, with various interests jostling for influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
