The result, released by the Lagos State APC Screening Committee, positions Hon. Makinde as the clear front-runner in the race for the party’s chairmanship ticket in Ojokoro LCDA. His performance outshines all other contenders across the state, with his closest rival in the entire scoresheets in Lagos State, Olusegun Odunmbaku from Ojodu LCDA, securing 94%.
A seasoned public servant and two-term former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II, Hon. Makinde’s perfect score is being hailed as both a reflection of his experience and a strong endorsement of his leadership credentials.
“This is not just a number; it’s a statement,” his media team said in a Facebook post. “A symbol of excellence, preparedness, and undeniable leadership capacity.”
For many Ojokoro residents, the result comes as no surprise. Hon. Makinde’s previous legislative tenure is fondly remembered for its people-centered approach, accessibility, and impactful grassroots projects. Supporters say his deep connection with the community and clear vision for inclusive development make him the right man for the job at a critical moment in Ojokoro’s growth.
Beyond the score, observers see the APC screening outcome as a strong signal of internal democracy and transparency within the party structure in Lagos State.
“Hon. Makinde’s 100% is more than a screening score—it’s a benchmark for the kind of leadership Ojokoro deserves,” the statement continued. “He stands out as a man of action, principle, and results.”
As the APC primaries draw near, momentum appears to be building around the Ojokoro-born urban planner, who is widely seen as a unifier and visionary. Many believe his emergence could usher in a new era of modern governance for the LCDA.
With the APC now recognizing his value through the screening process, all eyes are now on the party delegates—and ultimately, the people of Ojokoro—as the countdown to the local government elections begins.
"Ojokoro LCDA doesn’t need just another chairman,” his supporters say. “It needs a champion.”
