The Olorunda Local Council Development Area has commenced applications for its 2026 Bursary Award, giving eligible students in the council area an opportunity to receive financial support towards their education.
The bursary is open to undergraduate students pursuing BSc, HND, ND and NCE programmes, as well as postgraduate students.
According to a statement from the Office of the Executive Chairman, applicants are required to complete the online application form and upload clear copies of their admission letter, school identity card, passport photograph, National Identification Number, letter of identification from the Oba, LASRRA identification and identification letter from Olorunda LCDA.
The council advised applicants to ensure that all documents are clear and legible, with each file not exceeding 1MB and submitted in PDF or JPG format. It also stressed that only one application will be accepted from each applicant.
The application portal opened on Monday, August 24, 2026, and will close on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Eligible students can submit their applications through the official bursary application portal.

Meanwhile, shortlisted applicants will participate in a physical screening exercise scheduled for September 7 to 9, 2026.
Applicants attending the screening are expected to come with their current academic result, admission letter, school identity card, evidence of indigeneship through a letter from the Oba, NIN and passport photograph.
The council urged all qualified students to take advantage of the opportunity and ensure that their applications are submitted before the September 1 deadline.
The bursary initiative is part of efforts by the Olorunda LCDA administration to support students and ease some of the financial challenges associated with pursuing higher education.
Badagry Today reports that applicants are expected to provide complete documentation at the screening exercise, as the council warned that incomplete documentation would not be entertained.
