There are strong but yet to be confirmed indications that the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi, may have recalled the list of Supervisors and Secretaries to Local Governments earlier forwarded to the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas across the state.
The development, which is still shrouded in uncertainty, began making the rounds after Mr. Gbolahan Ogundimu Odusanya, a social media influencer reputed for sharing insider information on Lagos political developments, posted a brief but weighty message on his Facebook page.
“Breaking News: State chairman has recalled all the SLGs and supervisors list back to Acme first thing this morning,” he wrote.
The reference to Acme is widely understood to mean the Lagos APC state secretariat, where major party decisions are often coordinated.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been issued by the party leadership to confirm or deny the alleged recall. Efforts are ongoing to verify the authenticity of the claim.
Interestingly, some of the lists, said to have been quietly circulated to various councils, started surfacing online since yesterday. However, none of the council chairmen has formally unveiled the names of the Secretaries to Local Governments or the Supervisors in their respective councils.
The reason behind the alleged hoarding of the list, which ordinarily should be made public for transparency and administrative clarity, remains unclear. Likewise, the motive for the reported recall, if confirmed, is still unknown.
Party faithful and political observers across Lagos are now watching closely for an official clarification, as the unfolding situation adds a new layer of intrigue to the post-congress realignments within the Lagos APC structure.
