The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, has congratulated Pastor Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi on his reelection as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State.
Pastor Ojelabi was returned to office on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, securing a renewed mandate to continue leading the ruling party in the state. Reacting to the development, Ajose described the victory as well deserved and a reflection of the confidence party leaders and members have in Ojelabi’s leadership.
According to the Olorunda LCDA boss, in a statement signed by the Media Unit, Office of the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, the reelection is a clear testament to Ojelabi’s integrity, capacity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and growth of the party. He noted that under his stewardship, the APC in Lagos has remained cohesive, focused, and electorally formidable.
Ajose further commended Ojelabi’s ability to build consensus across party lines, strengthen internal democracy, and effectively mobilise members at the grassroots. He said the trust reposed in him by stakeholders did not come as a surprise, given his track record of inclusive leadership and strategic coordination.
The council chairman expressed optimism that the chairman’s second term would bring deeper consolidation within the party, wider grassroots expansion, and greater electoral successes in future political contests.
He also offered prayers for divine wisdom, strength, and good health for Ojelabi as he continues to steer the affairs of the APC in Lagos to greater heights.
