Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, has congratulated Hon. Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi on his re election as Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, describing it as well deserved and a clear reward for purposeful leadership.
Reacting to the outcome of the Lagos APC Congress, Whingan said Ojelabi’s return to office reflects the confidence party leaders and members have in his integrity, commitment and capacity to steer the party to greater heights.
According to him, the chairman’s steady leadership and dedication to the ideals of the party have strengthened internal cohesion and positioned the APC for continued success in Lagos State. He expressed optimism about working closely with Ojelabi to further consolidate the party’s dominance and drive meaningful development across the state.
The federal lawmaker also celebrated the election of Princess Damilola Sonayon James, a proud indigene of Badagry, into the newly constituted Lagos State APC Executive Council. He described her emergence as a significant milestone for Badagry Division and a strong statement about the rising influence of young leaders from the area in Lagos politics.
Whingan noted that Damilola’s election is further proof that Badagry youths are gaining relevance in the annals of Lagos State politics through their exceptional leadership qualities and notable achievements in their various endeavors.
He urged the new state executive to remain united and focused, stressing that the continued progress of the APC in Lagos depends on collective effort, discipline and a shared commitment to service.
