According to Press Release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Kriko Augustine, the Chairman made this known while hosting the Commanding Officer of the 243 Battalion, Nigerian Army Barracks, Ibereko, Lt. Col. Ambrose Ikoro, and the Badagry Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), DCC Williams Manga, during separate courtesy visits to his office.
Receiving Army Commanding Officer, the Council Chairman commended the Nigerian Army for its sacrifices and unwavering dedication to protecting lives and property. He pledged the local government’s full cooperation on security issues, stressing that peace and stability remain the foundation of meaningful development.
During the FRSC Sector Commander’s visit, Hunpe applauded the Corps for its critical role in road safety, traffic management, and crash reduction. He assured the agency of greater collaboration, particularly in public sensitization campaigns, enforcement of traffic laws, and promoting safer road practices.
The Chairman further emphasized that both visits underscored the importance of synergy among government institutions. According to him, inter-agency collaboration is central to his administration’s vision of building a secure, orderly, and progressive Badagry. He also urged residents to support and cooperate with security and safety agencies, noting that security is a collective responsibility.
