Olorunda Decides 2025: “Vote Me to RESHAPE Our Council,” APC Candidate, Kumayon Urges Residents Ahead of Saturday's Election

As the countdown begins to the July 12 Local Government elections in Lagos State, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, popularly known as APK, is calling on the people of Olorunda LCDA to join hands with him in what he describes as a “mission to reshape and fast-track development” in the council.

In a heartfelt appeal to residents ahead of Saturday’s polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate said his aspiration is rooted not in politics alone, but in shared experiences, deep community ties, and a burning desire to deliver results where they matter most.

“I come before you, not just as a candidate, but as one of you—raised by these same streets, molded by the same struggles, and driven by the same hope for a better Olorunda,” he said.

Hon. Ajose unveiled a comprehensive seven-point development blueprint known as the RESHAPE Agenda—a practical plan he says was built on years of public service and direct engagement with the needs of the people.

RESHAPE stands for:
R – Rural development: Investing in roads, electricity, and job opportunities for underserved areas.
E – Education advancement: Upgrading schools, supporting teachers, and improving learning environments.
S – Staff welfare: Boosting morale and working conditions for council workers.
H – Healthcare improvement: Making basic health services more affordable and accessible.
A – Agricultural growth: Backing local farmers and food production.
P – Physical environment sanitation & water supply: Cleaner communities and safer water.
E – Empowerment: Creating skills and support programs for youth and women.

Ajose emphasized that his campaign slogan, “Let’s Make Progress Real,” is more than a phrase—it is a commitment to responsible governance and visible development.

“We have lived too long with unfulfilled promises. It’s time to make leadership work for the people. The RESHAPE agenda isn’t theory—it’s a reflection of our everyday realities and what must be done to change them,” he declared.

The APC candidate also highlighted his readiness to provide responsive and inclusive leadership, stressing the importance of unity, collaboration, and a shared belief in a brighter future for Olorunda.

“This is our moment. I cannot do it alone. I need your vote, your voice, and your belief that Olorunda can be better. Let’s rise together and make this dream real,” he added.

With the campaign slogan “APK Irorun Dé” — meaning Comfort is here — Ajose is rallying support from residents, promising a leadership style that is people-focused, solutions-driven, and rooted in the realities of grassroots governance.

As Olorunda heads to the polls this weekend, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon’s message is clear: “Let us choose progress, unity, and a future we’ll all be proud of.”
