As the countdown begins to Saturday’s local government elections in Lagos State, the Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, has called on residents to come out en masse and vote for all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.
Whingan made the call during a strategic meeting held earlier today with the APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates across Badagry Local Government, Olorunda LCDA, and Badagry West LCDA. The meeting, held at the newly built Council Chamber, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots mobilisers to fine-tune plans ahead of the July 12 elections.
In a statement issued by Whingan’s media team, the lawmaker also offered logistic supports to all the 26 candidates of the APC ahead of Saturday’s local government elections.
Addressing attendees, Hon. Whingan expressed strong confidence in the party’s flagbearers, particularly the three chairmanship candidates — Hon. Babatunde Hunpe (Badagry LG), Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon (Olorunda LCDA), and Hon. Rauf Kayode Yemaren (Badagry West LCDA).
“I believe in their capacity to deliver and advance the progress of our communities at the local level,” Whingan said, adding that good leadership at the grassroots is critical to sustainable development in the constituency.
He urged eligible voters across the 10 wards and hundreds of polling units in Badagry to turn out in large numbers and vote overwhelmingly for the APC, describing the polls as a crucial opportunity to consolidate gains and build on the party’s achievements.
“Your vote is your voice,” the federal lawmaker emphasized. “Let’s keep the momentum going and ensure we secure victory for our great party at the grassroots.”
The meeting also served as a show of unity and renewed commitment among APC stakeholders in Badagry, as the party intensifies its final push ahead of the election.
