“I Met My Husband at a Friend’s Wedding!” – Badagry Lady Shares Heartwarming Love Story That Began on Boxing Day

Love was truly in the air in Badagry last weekend as Princess Esther Bonu, a proud daughter of the ancient town, tied the knot with her dream man in a beautiful ceremony that has since gone viral—not just for the glamour, but for the touching backstory that led to their union.

Taking to Facebook shortly after her wedding, Princess Esther shared a captivating account of how fate brought her and her now-husband together at a wedding ceremony on December 26, 2022.

“Let me gist you people how we met,” she began playfully. “Anyway, try dey attend wedding ceremonies sha!”

According to her, the journey started when her birthday mate called to inform her she was getting married—and coincidentally, the wedding was fixed for December 26th, Esther’s own birthday.

“I was so full of joy,” she recalled, though she was initially surprised that the wedding was set for a Tuesday. But when her friend explained that it was a spiritually chosen date, she embraced the plan wholeheartedly.

Fast forward to the big day: dressed in matching aso ebi, Esther attended the wedding with no idea that destiny had already positioned her for a love story of her own. There, among the sharply dressed men in agbada, stood the man who would one day become her husband.

“He was one of the men in agbada…,” she teased in her post, leaving readers begging for more.

While she didn’t spill every detail just yet—playfully asking, “Should I continue with the rest of the storyyyyy?”—it’s clear that what started as a routine celebration turned out to be a life-changing encounter.

The newlywed couple sealed their love just last weekend in a colorful ceremony that drew friends, family, and well-wishers from across Badagry and beyond.

Esther’s story has since touched many, especially young women who now see wedding parties not just as social events—but possibly, divine setups.

Her advice? “Anything you are doing in this life, do it well, because people are watching.”

Congratulations to the latest couple in town! Badagry celebrates your love.
