JAMB Fixes Date for 2025 UTME Mop-Up Exam, Candidates to Print Slips from June 23

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up test will hold on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

In an official update posted via its X (formerly Twitter) handle, @JAMBHQ, the Board disclosed that the mop-up examination is being organized to accommodate specific categories of candidates who were unable to participate in the earlier phases of the UTME.

According to JAMB, 5,096 spill-over candidates—those whose exams could not be scheduled during the main UTME due to technical or administrative reasons—will take part in the mop-up. Additionally, the test will cater to candidates who were unable to complete biometric verification, a mandatory requirement for sitting the examination.

In a further show of leniency, the Board has also granted a special dispensation to 91,742 absentee candidates, including those who missed both the main and rescheduled UTME sessions. These candidates have now been given another opportunity to write the exam.

To ensure proper preparation, all candidates eligible for the mop-up are advised to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Monday, June 23, 2025. These slips will contain vital information such as the exam venue, date, and time.

JAMB urged all concerned candidates to take this opportunity seriously and ensure compliance with all examination guidelines.
