Kọndọpọ Magazine and Badagry Transport Services by Hunpe

The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, has unveiled Kọndọpọ New Era Magazine and launched the Badagry Transport Services as part of activities marking the first anniversary of his administration.

The Kọndọpọ New Era Magazine is designed to document the activities, projects, people, culture and development journey of Badagry, providing residents and future generations with a record of the Local Government’s progress.

At the unveiling, Hunpe said the publication was part of his administration’s communication strategy, stressing the need for government to not only deliver projects but also properly document its development story.

The Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Musibau Bolarinwa, described Kọndọpọ as a symbol of unity and collective strength, while Professor Saka Rahman of Lagos State University commended the publication and urged its publishers to maintain credibility, balance and editorial quality.

Meanwhile, Hunpe also unveiled the Badagry Transport Services with an initial fleet of 10 buses acquired by the Local Government to improve intra-community transportation and provide an alternative for residents, particularly during the restricted hours for motorcycle operations.

The buses will operate on designated community routes under the supervision of a Transport Committee chaired by Mr Olusegun Amosu.

Adding further support to the initiative, Mr Samuel Mauyon Ajose through his foundation pledged to donate another 10 buses, bringing the proposed fleet to 20 buses.

The Chairman called for collective support from residents and stakeholders to ensure the proper management, maintenance and sustainability of the transport service.
