Over 150 vulnerable residents of Olorunda Local Council Development Area have received ATM cards under another round of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope conditional cash transfer programme.

The beneficiaries, drawn from communities across the five wards of the council, received their cards on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, during an exercise held at the Olorunda Secretariat in Iworo.

The latest distribution is one of several cash transfer exercises previously facilitated in the council to provide financial support to vulnerable, indigent and elderly residents.

Representing the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, at the event, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Cornelius Akinyele, said the intervention was designed to cushion the economic challenges faced by vulnerable Nigerians.

He stressed that the beneficiaries were selected from different communities across the five wards and that the programme was not a political exercise but a federal government social welfare intervention.

Under the latest round, each beneficiary is expected to receive ₦75,000, with accounts created and linked to the ATM cards issued.

Akinyele urged the beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly and productively, while commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sustaining social intervention programmes targeted at vulnerable citizens.

He also assured residents that the Ajose-led administration would continue to support initiatives capable of improving the welfare of people at the grassroots.
