It was a moment of joy and admiration as Nigerian Fuji legend, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, popularly known as Oganla Fuji, warmly welcomed Ayomide Mathew Akinola, also known as City Boy, who completed a remarkable 175-kilometre bicycle ride from Seme Border in Badagry to Pasuma’s residence in Omole, Lagos.
City Boy embarked on the three-day bicycle marathon on November 1, 2025, in celebration of Pasuma’s birthday and as a symbol of unity within the Fuji music industry. The determined fan and celebrity marathoner pedaled through towns and cities, finally arriving in Omole on November 3, where he was received with open arms by the Fuji icon himself.
Speaking during the warm reception, Pasuma expressed deep appreciation for City Boy’s commitment and passion, describing the gesture as both touching and inspiring. He also endorsed City Boy’s “Bicycle Ride Marathon” as a creative effort to promote peace and togetherness among Fuji music lovers across Nigeria.
The memorable visit concluded with photo sessions, heartfelt exchanges, and words of encouragement from Oganla Fuji, who described City Boy as a true example of dedication and loyalty.
