Switzerland-based Nigerian coach, Adeyemi Anthony Adedeji, paid a heartwarming visit to the training camp of Badagry United Football Club on Thursday, offering both encouragement and valuable support to the grassroots team.
Currently enjoying his summer holiday in Nigeria, Coach Adeyemi was warmly welcomed at the club’s training ground in the French Village, Badagry, by Sporting Director Danladi Musa, Head Coach Alan Murphy, and the entire squad.
A former youth international and ex-midfielder with Super Stores FC, Adeyemi is well known for his passion for youth development. True to form, he came bearing gifts—donating new jerseys, bibs, and an assortment of training gear to the team.
“This is just the beginning,” Adeyemi said during his visit. “I'm not only here to give out equipment — I plan to offer technical support too. These boys need the right exposure and training to shine. Many of them have what it takes to succeed professionally. This is my little way of giving back and helping to grow football at the grassroots.”
The gesture was met with gratitude from club officials. Sporting Director Danladi Musa described the visit as a much-needed morale boost.
“Coach Adeyemi’s support is deeply appreciated. It’s a big motivation for the boys and the coaching crew. His commitment to grassroots football is evident, and we’re excited about what this partnership could bring,” Musa said.
Head Coach Alan Murphy also highlighted the impact of the visit, noting how inspired the players felt.
“They were thrilled to meet someone who has walked the path they dream of. Adeyemi’s story and support have lit a spark in them,” Murphy remarked.
The players, visibly excited, expressed their thanks to the visiting coach, promising to make the most of the opportunity and work even harder on their football journey.
With Coach Adeyemi’s backing, Badagry United FC is not just training—they’re dreaming bigger.
