The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Badagry is standing tall and united ahead of the 2027 general elections, as party leaders came together for a powerful strategy meeting held earlier today.
According News Peddler, the high-level gathering, which drew over 100 party stalwarts, was led by Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, the PDP Deputy National Secretary, alongside the Lagos State PDP Chairman, Hon. Philip Aivoji. Their presence in Badagry sent a strong message: the PDP is not only intact but fully focused on taking charge come 2027.
Addressing recent speculations about internal cracks and possible defections, the party made it clear — no one is leaving. “PDP remains our home,” the leaders said in a joint statement after the meeting. “We are not going anywhere, and no amount of false rumors will shake our commitment.”
Other top party figures in attendance included Prince Yomin Ogungbe, Chief Olaomo Ikufisile, Hon. Seyon Hunyinbo (former state ex-officio and House of Reps candidate), Alhaji Alani Ajose, Chief Femi Hunga (Acting Chairman, PDP Badagry LGA), Elder James Joseph, Chief Sunday Hunwi, Hon. Tunde Hunpatin, Alhaji Hassan Gafar, Alhaji Kazeem Kappo, and Chief Benjamin Akovoyon.
There was also strong representation from grassroots leaders — ward chairmen, councillorship candidates, and local mobilizers — who all vowed to double their efforts in building support across communities.
Speaking at the event, PDP Chairmanship candidate Barr. Medemaku Abayomi Noah said the party in Badagry remains a force to be reckoned with. “We’re focused, united, and ready. Distractions won’t stop us. Our eyes are on the goal — victory for PDP and better governance for our people,” he said.
Political observers believe the strategic meeting was a smart move to counter recent propaganda by the opposition and reassure supporters of the PDP’s strength and direction.
The party also announced plans to launch a series of grassroots mobilization activities in the coming weeks — a clear sign that the campaign machinery is warming up.
As 2027 draws nearer, one thing is clear: PDP in Badagry is not backing down. With solid leadership, loyal supporters, and a clear roadmap, the party is gearing up for a tough but determined journey to reclaim its political dominance in Lagos State.
The meeting ended with a powerful call to action: “Let’s stay together, stay focused, and stay ready. The battle is ahead, and we are marching forward together.”
