As his tenure winds down, the outgoing Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde, popularly known as Samola, has once again demonstrated his commitment to staff welfare by gifting the council workforce a brand-new staff bus.
The gesture, coming just days before the official end of his administration, has been widely applauded as a thoughtful and impactful parting gift aimed at easing the daily commute of council workers.
The vehicle which is yet to be Unveiled but seen by Badagry Today is a modern, air-conditioned vehicle designed to enhance convenience and punctuality for employees residing within and outside the council area.
Council workers and community members alike praised the chairman’s gesture, describing it as consistent with his leadership style over the past years — people-focused and responsive.
Hon. Olatunde, whose administration is set to officially conclude early July, has over the years overseen several landmark projects across Olorunda LCDA, ranging from infrastructure to youth empowerment and social welfare.
The donation of the bus forms part of a series of final acts and valedictory activities aimed at wrapping up his tenure on a high note, leaving behind a legacy of inclusivity, staff development, and community-driven governance.
As residents prepare to usher in a new administration, many say Samola's tenure will be remembered not just for the projects delivered, but for the human touch that defined his leadership.
