Lagos LG Polls: Commissioner Layode-led ICC Congratulates APC LG Candidates in Badagry

The Director General of the Badagry Independent Campaign Council (ICC) and Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Badagry ahead of the July 2025 local government elections.

Hon. Layode, joined by the ICC leadership team—Barr. Emmanuel Kappo and Hon. Bonu Solomon—congratulated the APC Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship, and Councillorship candidates from Badagry Central, Badagry West, and Olorunda Local Council Development Areas following their official flag presentation by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The symbolic ceremony, held yesterday at Lagos House, Marina, drew a large crowd of enthusiastic party members and supporters. It marked a major milestone in the countdown to the polls and further energized the APC's campaign momentum in the region.

In a statement signed by Pot-Balogun Sesi (SELAN), Director of Media and Publicity for Badagry ICC, the council reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to ensuring total victory for all APC candidates in the local government elections.

“The ICC under the leadership of Hon. Layode is fully mobilized and committed to working round-the-clock for a landslide victory in Badagry. With the solid performance of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration—anchored on infrastructural development, inclusive governance, and economic expansion—APC remains the trusted party for sustainable progress in Lagos State,” the statement read.

The Badagry ICC pledged to intensify grassroots engagement, voter education, and strategic mobilization across all wards, reaffirming its readiness to deliver a clean sweep at the polls.

The flag presentation event has further bolstered the confidence of party loyalists, with expectations high for a resounding APC triumph across the three councils in Badagry.
