President Tinubu Hails Nasir El-Rufai on 65th Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

In a statement released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised El-Rufai as a distinguished administrator, scholar, and politician whose contributions to governance and democracy remain significant.

El-Rufai, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served two terms as Kaduna State governor and previously held key national positions, including Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory from 2003 to 2007.

President Tinubu acknowledged El-Rufai’s instrumental role in the formation of the APC and his contributions to the party’s victories in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 general elections. He also commended the former governor’s mentorship of younger leaders and dedication to public service.

The President wished El-Rufai continued good health and strength to further serve the nation.
