Amid speculations about his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has instead endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

Governor  Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State had publicly endorsed the President before his eventual defection. 

The endorsement came as members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun also declared their support for President Tinubu as their preferred candidate for the 2027 general election.

Governor Adeleke made this known in a post shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.

He wrote:

“Our party in Osun has also endorsed President @officialABAT for re-election in 2027, recognizing him as a proud son of our state.”
