HAMZAT: The Choice of Ordinary Lagosians, APC's Trump Card for 2027 – Hundeyin

Mr. Bamidele Segun Hundeyin has called on Lagos residents to support Dr. Obafemi Hamzat in the 2027 governorship election, describing the All Progressives Congress candidate as a leader whose experience and understanding of governance make him a suitable choice for the state's continued development.

Hundeyin made this known in an online chat with Badagry Today, where he shared his views on Hamzat's emergence as the Lagos APC governorship candidate and urged electorates to consider his experience, administrative background and knowledge of the state's development priorities when making their choice at the polls.

Hundeyin is a member of the Communication and Information Directorate of the Lagos State APC Campaign Council supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Hamzat. He serves in the council's Media, Publicity and Branding Unit.

According to Hundeyin, the choice of a governor is one of the most consequential decisions Lagos voters will make in 2027, given the state's strategic importance to Nigeria's economy and the expectations of its diverse population.

He argued that Hamzat's years of service within the Lagos State Government have given him valuable knowledge of the state's governance structure, policy direction and development challenges.

For Hundeyin, this experience is an important consideration for voters who want the progress recorded in Lagos to be sustained while new solutions are developed to address emerging challenges.

He noted that governing Lagos requires an understanding of its complex urban environment, growing population, economic activities and the different needs of residents across its communities.

From traffic congestion and road infrastructure to education, healthcare, housing, employment and support for small businesses, Hundeyin believes voters should consider a candidate's experience and capacity to understand these issues when deciding who should lead the state.

He maintained that Hamzat's emergence provides Lagosians with an opportunity to consider a candidate familiar with the machinery of government and the demands of public administration.

Beyond his administrative background, Hundeyin stressed the importance of continuity in governance, arguing that sustaining development requires leadership that understands existing policies while remaining open to improvements that will make government more responsive to the people.

He said ordinary Lagosians, including traders, artisans, civil servants, entrepreneurs, young people and working families, deserve a government that prioritises their welfare and creates opportunities for them to improve their standard of living.

Hundeyin also emphasised the need for voters to look beyond political sentiments and assess the experience, vision and development priorities of candidates contesting for the state's highest political office.

According to him, the 2027 election presents an opportunity for Lagos residents to make a decision that will shape the direction of the state in the coming years.

He urged voters across the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas to take an active interest in the election and carefully consider Hamzat's candidacy in the context of Lagos State's development aspirations.

For residents of communities such as Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu and other areas where infrastructure and access to public services remain important concerns, Hundeyin's message is that the next administration must sustain development while paying attention to communities and residents whose needs require greater attention.

He maintained that the future of Lagos should be built on experience, continuity, effective governance and a commitment to inclusive development.

As political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election gather momentum, Hundeyin called on Lagos electorates to give Hamzat serious consideration, expressing confidence that his experience in government could provide a foundation for consolidating the state's development.

For Hundeyin, the choice before Lagosians is about more than selecting a candidate. It is about deciding the direction of the state's future and choosing leadership that can build on existing progress while responding to the aspirations of ordinary residents.
