Former All Progressives Congress APC chairmanship aspirant in Badagry Local Government, Hon. David Mautin Kunnuji, has secured an ambassadorial contract with the Centre D’Incubation Entrepreneuriale Et Des Formations Professionnelles CIEFP Benin, a professional training institution based in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Kunnuji, popularly known as DMJ, signed the ambassadorial agreement on Monday in Cotonou in the presence of the Director General of the centre, Engr. Kiki Ismael.
The partnership is expected to create opportunities for Nigerians, particularly young people interested in acquiring practical skills in heavy equipment operation and other technical fields.
CIEFP Benin specialises in hands on professional training, with a focus on the operation of hydraulic excavators, loaders and forklifts, skills that are increasingly relevant to the construction, logistics, mining and materials handling sectors.
The centre is also set to commence a new intake for its Material Handling Equipment Operator Training Course on August 18, 2026.
The four month programme consists of three months of practical training and one month of theoretical instruction. Participants will be trained in the operation of hydraulic excavators, loaders and forklifts, while also receiving instruction in Business English, workplace ethics and French language skills for English speaking trainees.
At the end of the training, successful participants are expected to receive the CQM Certificate of Professional Qualification, a Certificate of Completion and the CACES Certificate of Aptitude for Safe Driving issued by the centre.
The registration package includes an instruction fee of N36,000, which covers a safety helmet and vest, a fuel surcharge of N36,000, two 25 litre gasoline cans at N86,000 and a training fee of N597,000.
The latest appointment adds a new dimension to Kunnuji's public and professional engagements after he emerged as one of the leading APC aspirants who contested for the Badagry Local Government chairmanship earlier this year.
Through his new ambassadorial role, Kunnuji is expected to promote the centre's training opportunities and facilitate access for prospective trainees, particularly those seeking internationally oriented technical and vocational skills.
The programme is positioned to equip participants with practical competencies that could improve their employability and open doors to opportunities within the construction and materials handling industries.
