Ajose Kumayon Presents 250 Free JAMB Forms, Offers Free CBT Training to Olorunda Students

In a bold move to support education and empower young talents, the Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon, on Thursday presented 250 free JAMB registration forms to indigent but deserving students across the council. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, all beneficiaries were also offered free Computer Based Training (CBT) to enhance their performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

The ceremony, held at the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Multi-Purpose Hall in Iworo, attracted council officials, education stakeholders, parents, students, and members of the press. Speaking at the event, Kumayon described the initiative as part of his administration’s RESHAPE Agenda, aimed at removing financial barriers that hinder talented students from pursuing higher education.

“This is not just about funding registration forms,” Kumayon said. “We are equipping our students with the tools to succeed academically and preparing them for the future.” He recalled that in 2025, the council distributed 250 GCE forms, noting that this year’s support, coupled with free CBT training, reflects a sustained commitment to education.

The chairman also highlighted other educational achievements under his administration, including Spelling Bee competitions for public schools, full academic support for Miss Okere Favor Chindinma, the Primary School Spelling Bee champion, and the sponsorship of the 12th Coconut Festival Schools Arts Exhibition Competition. Welfare support for staff living with disabilities and outreach to orphanage homes during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary were also cited.

Beneficiaries were urged to justify the taxpayers’ investment through diligence, integrity, and academic excellence, while shunning social vices. Council officials, including Council Manager Mr. Adesanya Moruf, Head of Education Department Mrs. Idowu Bunmi Onashile, and members of the legislative arm, assured continued support and encouragement for outstanding performance.

The event concluded with the formal handover of the 250 JAMB forms and confirmation of the free CBT training, reinforcing Olorunda LCDA’s dedication to building a brighter academic future for its youth.
