Lagos Unveils Eko Rice, Begins Sale Across the State

The Lagos State Government has officially rolled out its much-anticipated Eko Rice, now available at major outlets across the state and online platforms.

Residents can now purchase the locally produced rice at designated points, including Ajah, Alausa, OPIC, Ogudu, Ikorodu, Egbeda, and Agege, as well as in all Jendol Superstores. For those who prefer online shopping, Eko Rice is also available for order via Price Pally, with doorstep delivery promised within 24 hours.

Market checks by Badagry Today on Price Pally showed the following prices:

  • 1kg – ₦1,619

  • 4kg – ₦6,169

  • 12.5kg – ₦19,079

  • 25kg – ₦38,599

  • 50kg – ₦73,929

The platform further assured customers that items can be returned if they fall short of expectations, in line with its refund policy.

According to the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, Eko Rice is “100% farm fresh, locally grown in Lagos, and proudly Nigerian.” The launch aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision of boosting food security, encouraging homegrown agriculture, and making staple foods more accessible to Lagosians.

The government is encouraging residents to “stock up and taste the freshness that Lagos loves,” stressing that the initiative is part of the broader A Greater Lagos Rising agenda.
