HRF Director, Lekan Quadri Visits Badagry Parrot CEO to Boost Media-Tourism Collaboration

The Director of the Heritage Rebirth Foundation (HRF) and Personal Media Aide to the Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry, Mr. Lekan Quadri, has called for stronger collaboration between media stakeholders and tourism promoters in Badagry West.

Quadri made this call during a courtesy visit to the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and the Chief Executive Officer of Badagry Parrot Media House. The meeting, held earlier this week, was aimed at building a robust partnership that will drive tourism promotion and enhance the global image of Badagry West.

Speaking during the visit, Quadri emphasized the need for synergy between the CPS office, the Heritage Rebirth Foundation, and Badagry Parrot in amplifying the council’s cultural and tourism assets. He noted that while Badagry West is naturally endowed with vast waterfronts and a rich cultural heritage, these potentials can only be maximized through consistent and strategic media projection.

“Media is a powerful tool for shaping perception. If we want the world to truly see Badagry West for the treasure it is, we must work together to tell our stories in ways that attract both local and international audiences,” he said.

Beyond tourism, the collaboration is expected to support grassroots development by empowering residents and promoting initiatives that create a clean, attractive environment for both visitors and locals. Quadri explained that strategic publicity, community-driven projects, and joint advocacy will help position Badagry West as a hub for culture, leisure, and modern tourism.

This development aligns with the Lagos State Government’s renewed commitment to repositioning Badagry as a tourism powerhouse. Recent efforts include the revival of the Badagry Heritage Festival and the identification of new tourist sites along the waterways.

With stronger media partnerships and tourism-focused collaborations, Badagry West is on course to attract greater attention as one of Lagos State’s most promising destinations for heritage, leisure, and positive storytelling.
