As the countdown to the July 12 local government elections in Lagos State continues, support continues to grow for the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon.
On Sunday morning, the Eagles Club of Badagry paid a courtesy visit to the APC candidate at his campaign office in Mowo, expressing strong support for his candidacy and commending the APC for what they described as a “perfect choice.”
Speaking on behalf of the group, Chairman of the Eagles Club, Mr. Elijah Avoseh, described Hon. Kumayon as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that his emergence as the party’s flagbearer signals a new dawn for Olorunda.
“With Hon. Ajose Kumayon at the helm of affairs, Olorunda is poised for unprecedented development,” Mr. Avoseh said. “He is the most qualified among all contenders. His political experience as a former Vice Chairman of Badagry Local Government, along with his distinguished career in the Lagos State civil service, speaks volumes.”
Avoseh added that the club would offer full support to Kumayon before, during, and after the elections, promising to help mobilize grassroots support to ensure his victory and success in office.
In his response, Hon. Kumayon thanked the group for their endorsement and vote of confidence, pledging to run an inclusive administration if elected.
“I am truly honoured by your visit and support,” he said. “I want to assure you that if elected, I will run a government that listens, engages, and delivers. My goal is to accelerate development across Olorunda and give every community a sense of belonging.”
As election day draws near, Hon. Kumayon continues to receive endorsements from various stakeholders, further strengthening his position as the frontrunner in the Olorunda LCDA chairmanship race.
