Outgoing BLG Chairman Onilude Sets for 3-Day Valedictory ProjectsCommissioning Spree, Sendforth Ceremony

In a grand gesture to mark the end of his tenure, the outgoing Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran, has announced a three-day commissioning spree and valedictory celebration scheduled to hold from July 1st to 3rd, 2025.

The event, which promises to be both historic and impactful, will see the commissioning of key infrastructural projects, staff engagement sessions, and a farewell party in honour of political office holders who served under his administration.

Speaking exclusively to Badagry Today in a telephone conversation, the Chief of Staff to the Local Government Chairman, Dr. Sewedo Samuel, unveiled the detailed three-day programme:

Day One – July 1st, 2025:
A flurry of developmental projects will be commissioned across the Local Government Area, including:

  • The newly constructed Cineman-Dansu Road, Sango, Badagry.

  • The Moses Owolabani Shopping Arcade in Ajara.

  • The brand-new Badagry Local Government Staff Quarters, also located in Ajara.

In addition to the physical infrastructure, the first day will feature a special empowerment programme for youths, women, and indigent residents—reflecting the administration’s commitment to social welfare and inclusive development.

Day Two – July 2nd, 2025:
A special Staff Forum will be held at the BLG Secretariat in Ajara, organized by the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE). The session will bring together staff and political office holders in a time of reflection, engagement, and appreciation for service rendered during the outgoing administration.

Day Three – July 3rd, 2025:
The grand finale of the week will feature the commissioning of the newly upgraded Badagry Town Hall, a flagship project of the Onilude administration. The facility, now boasting modern amenities including a guest chalet, two conference rooms, and a spacious multi-purpose hall, stands as a legacy symbol of good governance and infrastructural development.

The celebrations will climax with a valedictory party in honour of all political appointees, friends, stakeholders, and supporters of the administration.

As the countdown begins, residents of Badagry are expected to turn out in large numbers to witness the events and bid farewell to a chairman whose tenure has been marked by visible transformation and people-centered policies.
