FG Unveils New Recruitment Portal, Reschedules Date for Immigration, Civil Defence, Fire Services Applications

The Federal Government has announced a new date and portal link for the nationwide recruitment into four key paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior, following initial technical hitches that hampered applicants' access.

In an official update issued today, June 26, 2025, by the Public Relations Unit of the Federal Fire Service Headquarters, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) disclosed that the application portal will now open on Monday, July 14, 2025, instead of the earlier slated Thursday, June 26, 2025.

The new and official recruitment website is: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

According to the CDCFIB, the recruitment exercise covers the following agencies:

  • Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

  • Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS)

  • Federal Fire Service (FFS)

  • Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)

The board noted that the postponement was necessary due to reported difficulties by applicants trying to access the earlier announced portal. “We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate the patience of all intending applicants,” the statement read.

Importantly, the Federal Government reiterated that the entire application process is completely free, warning applicants to beware of fraudsters posing as officials or demanding payments under any guise.

"Applicants are urged not to pay anyone for forms, processing or job placement. All genuine information will be communicated through the official portal," the board emphasized.

Detailed guidelines and requirements for each of the paramilitary services will be made available once the portal goes live. Interested candidates are advised to prepare their documents and carefully follow the instructions provided on the site.

Badagry Today will continue to provide timely updates on the process and advise all applicants to stay informed by following only verified government communication channels.
