President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Lagos for the Easter break, barely one week after departing the state following the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
The President arrived in Lagos on Friday evening and was received by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Governor Sanwo-Olu disclosed that President Tinubu would, during his stay in the state, commission a number of projects executed by the Lagos State Government.
Among the projects scheduled for inauguration are the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a newly constructed multi-agency complex and a new school complex.
Announcing the President’s arrival in a post on his Facebook page, Governor Sanwo-Olu wrote:
“Tonight in Lagos, I received His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of the Easter break.
During his stay, His Excellency will be commissioning a number of projects delivered by our administration. These include the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a new multi-agency complex, and a school complex.
Our administration remains committed to building infrastructure that improves daily life and supports our growing economy.”
The planned commissioning is expected to further highlight the Sanwo-Olu administration’s ongoing drive to expand infrastructure and improve public services across Lagos.
The Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge is regarded as one of the strategic projects aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity within the state, while the new government and educational facilities are expected to strengthen service delivery.
President Tinubu’s return to Lagos for the Easter holiday comes amid continued efforts by the Lagos State Government to showcase completed projects and sustain momentum in urban development.
