Mr. Apata Samson Nunayon, national Vice Chairman of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), in a bold move to consolidate support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid, has appointed the Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Hannatu Musa Musawa, as the Matron of the Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu (TVT).
TVT is a campaign movement within the tourism sector aimed at mobilizing stakeholders to support President Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
In her acceptance, Minister Musawa expressed gratitude for the appointment, saying:
"I am truly delighted by this thoughtful recognition and honoured to accept this appointment. I commend your team for this fantastic initiative, which seeks to mobilize stakeholders across the tourism and hospitality ecosystem in support of the administration of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu… I assure you of my full support and commitment to working with the Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu (TVT)-2027 as we collectively strive to deepen stakeholder engagement, strengthen the industry, and contribute meaningfully to the realization of the administration's developmental objectives."
She also praised the President’s visionary leadership and pledged to help advance the growth, sustainability, and global competitiveness of Nigeria’s tourism and creative economy sectors.
Apata’s initiative underscores the intersection of political advocacy and sectoral development, leveraging the tourism industry to galvanize support for the President while promoting national economic growth.
The official decoration of Minister Musawa as Matron of TVT will be announced in due course.
