Badagry’s Yonronfun Omotayo Wins UNILAG Sociology Department Award

Badagry continues to shine across politics, security, business, and academics as one of its own, Comrade Yonronfun David Omotayo, popularly known as Rastaman, has been honored with a prestigious award at the University of Lagos.

Omotayo, a native of Ajara Vetho Kingdom in Badagry, clinched the Best Class Governor of the Year Award in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences. The recognition, presented by the National Sociological and Anthropological Students Association (NSASA), underscores his remarkable leadership qualities, dedication to academics, and commitment to the growth of the department.

As class governor, Omotayo demonstrated exceptional initiative, vision, and the ability to inspire his colleagues. His active involvement in academic activities, including mobilizing students for lectures and fostering unity, has left a lasting impact on his peers and contributed positively to the department’s reputation.
