As the curtain falls on the administration of Hon. Onilude Segun Adeniran, the outgoing Chairman of Badagry Local Government has officially announced the dissolution of all political appointments and committees that served under his leadership over the past four years.
In a heartfelt statement released on Friday, Hon. Onilude expressed his gratitude to all appointees, including the Secretary to the Local Government, Chief of Staff, Supervisors, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Personal Assistants, members of the Revenue Committee, and other ad-hoc committees that were formed during his tenure.
"This decision marks the formal conclusion of our administration and follows the standard governance procedure for transitioning leadership," the Chairman stated.
Reflecting on the past four years, Onilude praised the commitment and loyalty of his team, noting that their individual and collective efforts helped the administration achieve several modest milestones despite various challenges.
“Together, we pursued progress, remained united in purpose, and stayed focused on the wellbeing of our people. It has truly been an honour to lead and serve alongside every one of you,” he said.
He also used the opportunity to encourage former appointees to remain ambassadors of peace and unity in their respective communities and continue promoting the values of good governance.
“As we take our bow, I urge all of you to keep contributing positively to the development of our dear Badagry,” he added.
The statement ended with prayers for the local government, Lagos State, and the nation at large.
With this announcement, Hon. Onilude officially draws the curtain on his administration, paving the way for a new chapter in the leadership of Badagry Local Government.
