In a touching act of compassion, the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Onilude, has donated N1 million to support the urgent medical treatment of Praise Lydia Ogungbayi, a teenage girl battling a rare and life-threatening heart condition known as constrictive pericarditis.
Praise, a bright and determined science student who dreams of becoming a medical doctor, is currently faced with the greatest challenge of her young life. Her condition, which severely restricts her ability to live normally, requires a surgery estimated at N7.3 million. Without it, her health and future hang in the balance.
Her story was recently brought to public attention through a report by CityMood Badagry, which highlighted her plight and sparked an outpouring of concern. Deeply moved by the report, Hon. Onilude personally reached out to verify the situation and, without hesitation, made the generous financial contribution to her family.
Her mother, Mrs. Mary Ayanwumi Ogungbayi, who received the donation on her daughter's behalf, was overwhelmed with gratitude.
