In a significant show of support for grassroots communities, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, on Thursday morning, distributed food palliatives to more than 15,000 individuals in Badagry.

The initiative, which targeted various women groups—including volunteer organizations, ethnic associations, and political support groups—was part of the Commissioner’s efforts to cushion the effects of economic hardship on vulnerable residents during the Easter season.

Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Ogunlende described the exercise as a "humble contribution" to bringing relief to those most in need. He expressed hope that the gesture would offer succor to families struggling at the grassroots level.

"In the spirit of the Easter season, I hope this gesture brings some measure of succor to vulnerable members of our communities," Ogunlende said. "We remain committed to reaching as many people as possible, ensuring that hope is sustained and humanity uplifted."

The initiative is one of several ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development to directly impact lives and support the state government's broader social welfare agenda.
