A media aide to the Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, Mr. Awhanbe Jesuyon Sunday, has mobilised women in Ikoga Zone as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots participation ahead of upcoming political activities.

The engagement, which brought together active women members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, was aimed at consolidating support for the party, encouraging voter registration, and preparing the ground for future elections.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Awhanbe urged the women to remain resolute in their support for Hon. Sesi Whingan and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing their leadership as vital to the continued growth and development of Badagry and the country at large. He commended the women for their consistency and grassroots mobilisation, noting that their role remains central to the party’s success.

The women, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to the re-election of Hon. Whingan and President Tinubu, declaring their readiness to continue standing firmly with the APC. They were also briefed on the forthcoming APC electronic registration and membership update exercise and encouraged to participate actively to strengthen the party’s structure at the grassroots.

Attention was also drawn to the importance of preparing early for the 2027 general elections. Participants were advised to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards and remain active in community mobilisation to ensure victory for the party in future polls.

At the end of the meeting, each participant received a token of two thousand naira in appreciation of their dedication and continued support.

In a related development, Mr. Awhanbe paid a courtesy visit to elderly women and widows within the community, where similar support was extended to them. The visit was aimed at acknowledging their importance in the community and seeking their prayers and goodwill.

The exercise once again highlighted the strength and organisation of the APC women’s wing in Ikoga Zone, as members pledged to remain united and committed to the success of the party and its leaders.
