President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, September 10, held a private working lunch with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
According to photos released by the State House, the two leaders exchanged a warm handshake at the palace entrance before moving inside for their closed-door discussions. While details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed, it is believed that their talks centered on strengthening bilateral ties, trade relations, and regional security issues affecting West Africa.
President Tinubu is currently observing the second phase of his annual leave, which he is spending between France and the United Kingdom. Despite being on leave, the President has continued to engage in high-level diplomatic meetings, signaling Nigeria’s commitment to fostering stronger international partnerships.
The meeting with President Macron highlights ongoing efforts by both nations to deepen cooperation and address shared challenges on the global stage.
