The people of Badagry West celebrated a major boost to education as a newly built and fully equipped block of six classrooms was officially handed over to Badagry West Community Secondary School.
The project was singlehandedly funded by Mr. Jimoh Makanjuola Dansu, an emerging philanthropist whose passion for education continues to inspire hope and open doors of opportunity for young learners in Badagry and beyond.
The initiative, according to multiple reports, was facilitated with the support of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekanmi Ajose Ilufemiloye Possi III, the Alapa of Apa Kingdom, who has remained committed to championing community development and educational advancement in the region. The school building, fully equipped with modern desks, benches, and a well-furnished staff room, stands as a beautiful addition to the community.
During the commissioning ceremony, traditional leaders, education stakeholders, and members of the community expressed deep appreciation for Dansu’s generosity. They noted that the additional classrooms would facilitate the smooth takeoff of the school’s senior secondary section, create a more conducive learning environment, and encourage more children to remain in school.
This milestone stands as a clear reminder of how philanthropy, when guided by a vision for the future, can transform communities. The donation is more than a physical structure; it represents a brighter tomorrow for the children of Badagry West and the generations that will follow.
