Senator (Dr.) Idiat Adebule, representing Lagos West Senatorial District, has inaugurated two landmark projects—a newly constructed block of classrooms in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area and a fully equipped Skills Acquisition Centre in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, in a renewed drive to boost education and human capital development
The commissioning, held on Monday, August 18, 2025, marked yet another milestone in Senator Adebule’s commitment to complementing the efforts of both the Lagos State Government and the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the inauguration, Senator Adebule described the projects as “impactful deliveries” aimed at empowering communities across Lagos West.
“These two impactful projects fulfil my desire and promise to complement the efforts of the State Government and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government in education and human resource development of the great people of Lagos West Senatorial District. This is just a tip of the iceberg—more of such projects are loading across the 28 LGAs and LCDAs of Lagos West, from Badagry to Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Alimosho, Ojo, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin and others,” she said.
The newly constructed classrooms in Oshodi-Isolo are designed to create a more conducive learning environment for pupils, while the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Skills Acquisition Centre has been fitted with modern facilities to train youths and women in various vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
Senator Adebule emphasized that education and skills acquisition remain vital pillars for addressing unemployment and poverty, stressing the need for communities to take ownership of such projects.
“The two inaugurated facilities are fully equipped with state-of-the-art amenities to effectively serve their intended purposes. Stakeholders and residents are urged to take ownership of these facilities and ensure they are properly and judiciously utilised,” she added.
The projects have been widely welcomed by stakeholders, who commended Senator Adebule’s commitment to grassroots development and her deliberate focus on initiatives that have direct social and economic impact.
With Lagos West covering 28 LGAs and LCDAs—the largest senatorial district in Nigeria—Senator Adebule reassured constituents that more schools, health, and empowerment projects would be unveiled in the coming months.
