The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the official release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that the results of 39,834 candidates are being withheld over suspected examination malpractices.
According to Prof. Oloyede, more than 1.9 million candidates took part in the nationwide exercise. He further revealed that 80 individuals are currently under investigation for various forms of exam fraud, with Anambra State recording the highest number of suspects—14 in total.
The registrar also noted that 467 underage candidates scored above the national minimum cut-off mark, while 50 candidates have so far been directly linked to cheating.
