Prince Seyon Adeyemi Akran has publicly accepted the outcome of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) local government primary elections, pledging to remain loyal to the party while reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the development of Badagry.
In a heartfelt message titled “A Message of Gratitude and Reflection,” the grassroots politician thanked his supporters for their steadfast dedication throughout his campaign. Despite not making the final list of APC candidates for the upcoming local polls, Prince Akran struck a tone of humility and hope.
“This is not the end,” he said. “While the outcome is not what we had hoped for, I remain deeply proud of what we have built together—a strong, focused, and visionary movement anchored on service, integrity, and progress.”
Prince Akran emphasized that his ambition was never solely personal but driven by a collective dream to rebuild and elevate Badagry. He praised the enthusiasm and sacrifices made by men, women, and youths who stood by him in pursuit of that vision.
“I accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith and with utmost respect for our great party, the APC,” he stated. “I remain a loyal and committed party member and will continue to support our collective aspirations and work for the success of our party at all levels.”
Addressing his followers directly, Akran urged them not to lose hope. “Our mission continues,” he said. “The values we stood for—honest leadership, responsible governance, and people-driven development—are still very much alive.”
He extended his appreciation to party leaders, his campaign team, 40 ward coordinators, and all who stood with him. “Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I carry the weight of your support with deep humility,” he added.
Looking ahead, Prince Akran promised to remain actively involved in community engagement and local development initiatives. He reaffirmed his belief that the dream of a Greater Badagry is still within reach.
“With God on our side, we will get there,” he concluded.
Prince Seyon Akran’s message is being seen by many as a statesmanlike response to the primary results—one that reinforces unity within the party and keeps alive the vision for a better Badagry.
