Speaking during the ongoing ministerial press briefings in Lagos, Mojola highlighted the Commission’s strides in promoting and enforcing safety standards across the state. He noted that the LSSC has remained steadfast in its mission to protect lives and property, working tirelessly to make safety a culture rather than an afterthought.
“Earlier today, the Lagos State Safety Commission provided a comprehensive account of its activities and achievements,” Mojola said in a post shared on his official Facebook page. “During the briefing, the Commission showcased its efforts and successes in ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. We also took the opportunity to reiterate our unwavering commitment to keeping Lagosians safe.”
Under Mojola’s stewardship, the Commission has expanded its reach and deepened its impact through several strategic initiatives. These include regular inspections of public and private facilities, enforcement of safety compliance across sectors, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagements aimed at fostering a safety-first mindset.
The DG also acknowledged the support of the Sanwo-Olu administration, noting that the achievements of the Commission would not have been possible without the backing of a government that prioritizes the welfare and security of its citizens.
As the briefing concluded, Mojola called on all Lagosians to join hands with the Commission to build a safer state. “Let’s continue to keep Lagos safe,” he urged.
The ministerial briefings continue this week, offering a platform for various MDAs to account for their stewardship and renew their commitment to the THEMES+ development agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration.
