Oglogbo, Akoko FC Set for Bonu's BAWCOFT Grand Finale on July 6

All roads will lead to Badagry West on Saturday, July 6, as Oglogbo FC and Akoko FC go head-to-head in the much-anticipated final of the Badagry West Communities Football Tournament (BAWCOFT 1.0).

Dubbed the “Unity Clash,” this grand finale promises more than just football—it’s a celebration of culture, camaraderie, and community pride. The event is the climax of weeks of intense football action across Badagry West, and excitement is reaching a fever pitch as the two standout teams prepare to battle for glory.

BAWCOFT, an initiative of Hon. Bonu Solomon Saanu—Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Badagry Constituency I and Chairman of the House Committee on Arts and Tourism—is designed to foster unity, youth engagement, and cultural appreciation through sports.

“This isn’t just a football tournament; it’s a platform to bring our communities together, celebrate our rich heritage, and promote peace and unity,” Hon. Bonu said ahead of the finals.

The grand finale is expected to draw top dignitaries, community leaders, football lovers, and residents from across Badagry and beyond. Spectators can look forward to electrifying football, live cultural performances, music, and a funfair atmosphere that reflects the true spirit of Badagry.
