Panic broke out on Wednesday afternoon when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga Local Government and head of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), suddenly collapsed while speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos.
Report by Vanguard says the incident occurred at about 12:10 p.m. at the party’s Secretariat on Acme Road, catching many in the crowd off guard. Onlookers rushed to his aid, and he was quickly revived before being taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
While details about his condition remain unclear, party members expressed relief that he regained consciousness and are hopeful for his swift recovery.
