One of the aspirants in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship primaries in Badagry Local Government, Hon. Monday Kotin, has congratulated Hon. Babatunde Hunpe on his emergence as the party's flag bearer.

In a statement released on Monday, Kotin praised the outcome of the primary election and expressed his commitment to supporting Hunpe and the APC in the upcoming chairmanship election.

"I extend my warmest congratulations to Hon. Babatunde Hunpe on emerging as the flag bearer of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the just concluded Chairmanship primary election," Kotin said.

Kotin, who contested in the same race, described the process as a true display of internal democracy and commended the party for conducting a credible primary. Demonstrating statesmanship and party loyalty, he acknowledged the legitimacy of Hunpe’s victory and pledged his full support.

“Your victory is a testament to your doggedness, leadership, and the confidence the party faithful have in your vision for our community. As we look ahead to the forthcoming Chairmanship election, I pledge my full support to your candidacy and to the success of our party,” he stated.

Kotin also expressed hope that Hunpe would lead with integrity and purpose if elected, noting the importance of delivering meaningful transformation in Badagry.

He concluded his message with a call for unity among party members, emphasizing that the strength of the APC lies in its collective resolve to bring progress and good governance to the people.

Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, a former House of Representatives member, is now positioned to lead the APC into the local government elections as its chairmanship candidate following his victory as announced by the Lagos State APC's Election committee.
