Islamic Music Stars Saoti Arewa, Badagry-born Monsurat Ajelero Set to Light Up Badagry at Ayeye Ileya 2025

The ancient town of Badagry is set to come alive this Saturday, June 6, 2025, as renowned Islamic music stars Alhaji Saoti Arewa Ojuolowo and Badagry’s very own Alhaja Monsurat Adegbemiro Ajelero headline the highly anticipated Ayeye Ileya 2025 celebration.

Scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. in front of the historic Badagry Central Mosque, the event falls on the second day of Eid al-Adha and promises an uplifting mix of spiritual reflection and festive joy.

The celebration, initiated and hosted by Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olarenwaju Ibrahim Layode, aims to bring the community together in a grand display of unity, culture, and faith.

“This is more than just a concert—it’s a moment of togetherness,” said one of the event organizers. “Families, friends, and visitors will gather not just to enjoy good music, but also to reflect, pray, and celebrate the blessings of Eid.”

Attendees can look forward to powerful live performances from the two Islamic music heavyweights. Alhaji Saoti Arewa, known for his energetic and soul-stirring style, will share the stage with Alhaja Monsurat Ajelero, whose deep roots in Badagry have made her a beloved local icon.

The programme will also feature communal prayers, traditional food, and remarks from dignitaries, with Hon. Layode expected to address the crowd in the spirit of the season.

With the stage set and excitement building, Ayeye Ileya 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most memorable Eid events in Badagry’s calendar—bringing music, meaning, and merriment to the heart of the community.
