Sen. Adebule Empowers Lagos West Women with ₦100,000–₦200,000 Business Grants

n a bold move to bolster small businesses and support women entrepreneurs, Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule, who represents Lagos West Senatorial District, has disbursed cash grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦200,000 to hundreds of women across all 28 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) within her constituency.

The initiative, which took place earlier in April, is part of the senator’s ongoing commitment to women empowerment and economic development in the district. In a Facebook post, Senator Adebule shared highlights of the program, expressing her passion for creating opportunities for women to thrive in business.

“Building on my ongoing commitment to women empowerment, we disbursed another tranche of cash grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦200,000 to hundreds of women entrepreneurs across all 28 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos West,” she said.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Senator Adebule emphasized that the Empowerment Fund was not just a one-off intervention, but a strategic tool to support the sustainability and growth of small-scale businesses. She urged recipients to make prudent use of the funds, reinvest in their businesses, and serve as examples of the potential that lies within empowered communities.

“I also assured them that more impactful and inclusive programs are in the pipeline to benefit everyone across Lagos West Senatorial District,” she added. “I urged them to sustain their hope in me and, of course, our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

The initiative was met with widespread appreciation from the beneficiaries, many of whom described the support as timely and transformative. For women running small shops, market stalls, and home-based ventures, the grants are expected to help expand inventory, improve services, and ultimately increase household income.

Senator Adebule’s effort aligns with broader federal goals to improve economic inclusion and entrepreneurship, particularly among women, who remain key drivers of informal sector growth in Nigeria.

As more programs roll out under her leadership, expectations are high that the Lagos West Senatorial District will continue to benefit from people-focused development, with women at the heart of the transformation.
