Speaking with humility and gratitude, Princess Damilola acknowledged the support of APC leaders, elders, loyal party members, and the people of Badagry West who stood by her throughout the campaign.
"Though the outcome was not in my favour, I accept it in good faith and in the spirit of party unity," she said, urging supporters to remain focused on the bigger goal of building a stronger, more inclusive APC and a better Badagry West.
In her statement, Princess Damilola praised Hon. Yemaren's victory and wished him wisdom and fairness as he takes on the responsibility of leadership.
"The task ahead is significant," she noted, "and I trust he will carry it out with a true commitment to the people of Badagry West."
Reflecting on her campaign journey, she described it as transformative—one that went beyond politics and touched lives across communities.
“We didn’t just contest—we impacted, we connected,” she said. “We engaged communities, listened to concerns, offered fresh ideas, and brought hope to many. From grassroots outreach to youth involvement and the empowerment of women, our movement lit a spark that I believe will continue to grow.”
Expressing deep appreciation to her supporters, she highlighted their dedication as the backbone of her campaign.
“To everyone who walked this path with me—your support, your sacrifice, your belief in the vision—we did something special,” she said. “Your love for this land and your dedication to progress were the driving force behind everything we achieved.”
As she pledged continued commitment to the development of Badagry West and loyalty to the APC, she urged the incoming chairman to lead with empathy, fairness, and a listening ear—especially to the voices of youth and women.
“Leadership is about service,” she reminded, adding, “Let’s now unite—putting aside any differences—so we can build a stronger, more inclusive Badagry West under the APC banner.”
Closing her message with prayers for the party, the community, and the nation, Princess Damilola reaffirmed her readiness to continue contributing wherever her support is needed.
“May God bless the APC. May God bless Badagry West. May God bless Lagos State. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
