“Today is a reminder that every child deserves care, safety, and a leader who shows up,” Hon. Whingan wrote in his heartfelt post. But he didn’t just say it—he lived it.
In a touching display of commitment, Hon. Whingan revealed that just a day before, he personally took the wheel of one of the constituency’s school buses, ensuring schoolchildren got home safely. “Yesterday, I personally drove one of our school ride buses to ensure children get home safely. Their joy, their laughter – that’s the real reward,” he shared.
His action, simple yet profound, has drawn praise from residents and followers who see it as a refreshing example of public service grounded in humility and care. At a time when many politicians mark public holidays with ceremonial appearances or grand speeches, Hon. Whingan chose to lead by example.
“Happy Children’s Day to the bright stars of Badagry,” his message concluded, a sincere tribute to the children he represents and strives to protect.
As Badagry children celebrated their special day, they did so knowing that at least one leader isn’t just speaking about care and safety—he’s showing up to make it real.
