In a powerful and deeply personal message to mark this year’s Children’s Day, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, the Member of the House of Representatives for Badagry Federal Constituency, struck an emotional chord across social media, reminding Nigerians of the importance of genuine leadership and responsibility toward children.

“Today is a reminder that every child deserves care, safety, and a leader who shows up,” Hon. Whingan wrote in his heartfelt post. But he didn’t just say it—he lived it.

Whingan revealed that just a day before, he personally took the wheel of one of the constituency’s school buses, ensuring schoolchildren got home safely. “Yesterday, I personally drove one of our school ride buses to ensure children get home safely. Their joy, their laughter – that’s the real reward,” he shared.
